He Rejoices Over Me
Nicholas Skula Jr., a native New Yorker, was born an eternal optimist. When asked, Nicholas will tell you his inspiration comes from God and from growing up in church. He has dedicated his adult life to serving God. His love for singing gospel music inspired Nick and his wife Beryl to join the award-winning Christ Tabernacle Choir, based in Glendale, Queens, New York. This choir is known for touring the country, singing on television, and ministering in prisons. The gospel album Change the Atmosphere earned the choir a Dove Award. Nicholas has also been involved with his church’s outreach teams, ministering to countless intercity youth. Tragedy struck Nicholas when his thirteen year old daughter lost her battle with brain cancer. He relied on his faith in Jesus Christ, his personal Lord and Savior, to get him through. Nicholas was inspired to write He Rejoices Over Me to comfort to those who also have suffered a similar loss.
